HOW TO GET STARTED WITH COMBATIVES TRAINING
To start your Combatives training, you need:

1) a place to train

2) a training partner or partners

3) a coach or source of instructional material

4) a strong desire to learn and be self-motivated in your training

The easiest way to start is via a good school in your local area, with good instructors, who know the difference between 1) martial arts, 2) combat sports, and 3) realistic self-defense against violence. (Be advised: these are three very different and distinct areas of study, with different goals and definitions of “success!”)

At Combatives Vienna we offer you three training modes:

1) Weekly training, every Wednesday evening from 1800-1930 at our school on Drorygasse 8/1, 1030 Wien.

Please email us to schedule a free introductory training session. You may bring a friend with you, too! Please note: you must be 18 or older to take our training.

If after your introductory training you choose to train with us regularly, cost is €38 per month if paid in advance, or €15 per week if paid week to week.

2) Our workshop: Protect Yourself From Violence / Introduction To Combatives.
These workshops are 3 hours in length, for 4-10 people, and are open to everyone age 18 or older.

The workshops are ideal for your group of co-workers, friends, and/or family.

Cost for your group’s 3-hour workshop is €250.

For more information about the Workshop, please email us and we’ll send you all the details.

3) Private training: Personalized training, at a time convenient to you.

This training is ideal if you want individualized attention and you can’t attend our regular weekly class or our workshops. We focus on developing your skills while emphasizing your particular self-protection concerns.

Cost is €60 per hour. For more information, please email us.

If there’s no Combatives school in your area, it’s still possible to learn the basics via online instruction and plenty of self-directed study and practice.

Please check our RESOURCES page to explore study materials with which you can start your own Combatives training group.
